well, we were dying to see what all of the fuss was about italy so we went to the flower show :)...our trip started with a really cool train ride enjoyed by all.
it was a little tricky finding the spot to pick up the prepaid tickets but we found that we enjoyed the fresh air outside. we finally made it to the flowers and it was really beautiful. apparently the resemblance to italy was pretty close as it brought tears to mom's eyes.
the crowds were a little overwhelming for the kids but not too much to enjoy the fountains and real gondola! it smelled wonderful and drew me in...wishing it was the real thing.
mom and dad even found a possible paint color for their house front after seeing a display...ORZO
it was a long day, lots of walking, the kids got a little crazy, but it was a day spent with family and that is always great. we even got treated with a visit from uncle chris at the hard rock cafe and we didn't lose dad as he quested to the bathroom that required an elevator ride and an unknown location. as we snuggled in bed at night, sean rubbed his aching feet and fell asleep exhausted.
